Five questions with Josh Duhamel

Don't tell his wife, Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas, but she's not the preferred robot-bashing mood music for Josh Duhamel.
"I mostly listened to ABBA on the set," admits the hunk, now starring in "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen," his second blood-vs.-steel adventure as Army Capt. Lennox.
1. For guys out there facing summer bathing-suit season, what is the key to looking so fit?
Honestly, there is no secret. It's the gym plus you cut the fats and sugars. And it helps when you have a movie like 'Transformers' because I remember on the first film, [director] Michael Bay told me, "Come ready. Be in shape. I demand a lot from my male actors, especially in these movies." So I just tried to be as strong and ready to go as possible for me. I was so glad on those days when I was running non-stop in the sweltering heat. The gym doesn't begin to prepare you for that one.
2. Did you have to go to "Transformers" boot camp to get back into machine-busting mode?
For the first movie, we had a few days out in Fort Irwin , and the second movie, we just sort of jumped into it. I was in New York and we just sort of had a bit of a refresher course. There's a number of people from all facets of the military who were advisers, and I think that we both took a lot of pride in trying to represent the military as closely as we could. I've got a lot of friends in the military and an aunt over in Iraq, so that was my main focus was to try to represent them all and make them proud. And if we didn't, they would let us know, believe me.
3. Did you have a favorite moment on the set?
My favorite scene in the movie was throwing the national security adviser off the plane. It was just a fun scene to do and there was a nice little stunt involved. Then there was this gigantic bomb that went off. It was the biggest explosion in the history of filmmaking involving actors. We were safe, but it was really big and eye-opening.
4. Did you watch the "Transformers" cartoons as a kid?
All the time. I was obsessed and so were all my friends in North Dakota. We had never seen anything like the Transformers. I loved the action and the good guys getting the bad guys. You had things getting destroyed. It was all the stuff you could live on TV but not in your own living room.
5. And we have to ask you something about your new wife, Fergie.
She's the sweetest girl in the world and we're really happy. We like to do the normal stuff together like make dinner or do the dishes or watch a movie. That's all I'm saying because you gotta save some stuff for yourself. Media is great, but not in your relationship.
