Josh Duhamel to Compete in 2010 DRAMBUIE(R) Pursuit Competition
Modern Day Rebels Sought to Join TEAM JOSH on Scottish Adventure
Liqueur today announced that famous film and television actor Josh Duhamel will take part in the 2010 DRAMBUIE Pursuit -- an epic outdoor adventure race across the wild terrain of the Scottish Highlands. Fans can sign up for a chance to join Josh's team at www.PursuitOf1745.com. From speedboat racing and white water rafting, to archery and mountain climbing, TEAM JOSH will enjoy the experience of a lifetime as they race in the footsteps of a legendary Scottish Prince.
The rugged 100-mile race course retraces the 1745 journey across the Highlands by Scotland's rebel Bonnie Prince Charlie, for whom DRAMBUIE was created. After a failed attempt at taking over the British throne, the Prince left to his loyal subjects the secret recipe for DRAMBUIE. Each year, teams from around the globe celebrate his ambitious journey and in May 2010, fifteen international teams of four will compete head to head in the legendary DRAMBUIE Pursuit race across Scotland. As the captain of one of the U.S. teams, Duhamel is currently seeking applicants to join his team of rebels.
"The DRAMBUIE Pursuit will be the experience and challenge of a lifetime," said Josh Duhamel. "Every day I face adventures in my acting career, but this is something that I never dreamed I'd get to do. I'm looking to put together a team that really captures the rebellious and passionate spirit of Bonnie Prince Charlie!"
"2009 has been a landmark year for DRAMBUIE," said Antonio Pujala, Brand Director for DRAMBUIE. "We've commemorated 100 years since our very first bottling in Edinburgh with the introduction of a striking clear bottle design, and now we are thrilled to sustain that exciting momentum by announcing Josh's participation in the 2010 DRAMBUIE Pursuit."

About DRAMBUIE
DRAMBUIE was created more than 260 years ago exclusively for Prince Charles Edward Stuart of Scotland. It is a unique combination of aged Scotch whiskies, heather honey and a blend of herbs and spices; a recipe kept secret since 1745. From the Gaelic "an dram buidheach" -- the drink that satisfies -- DRAMBUIE is enjoyed by those who appreciate its timeless, yet distinctive taste. DRAMBUIE can be served on the rocks, in classic thingytails such as the Rusty Nail®, or more contemporary long drinks such as the DRAMBUIE and Soda.
