What would he have to save face about? He is bad because he moved on? He always said he'd do a GUEST appearance, and if you heard the actuL interview , that is what he said again. It's truly hillarious reading soap fan comments who take him moving on personally. He in not really Leo! And sorry but Rebecca Bidig and Josh were amazing as a couple, but since she is divorcing her reality show loser hubby, Josh should think twice about returning as Leo. She was sweet, but wow, I saw her with Josh at a couple of personal appreances and she was creepy in love with him and would make comments about having the hots for him, even when his girlfriend was in the audience!

Some fans are funny. Some followed Jos to his sow Las Vegas and became kooky "Dary" fans. Lol. I feel sorry for soap actors, some of there fans act like they know them personally and also areiving through fake couples! Soap fans ans StarWars fans are a sad but funny group!
Besides all of that, since Leo would not be returning for good, the not a very nice person writers probably would want to ruin the couple for good by saying Leo left her on purpose!

First of all, you don't know me. I am not a "kooky" soap fan who cannot let Josh go as Leo. I kiddingly said "to save face", (hence the 'wink') because obviously the interviewer put him on the spot by asking him that question. If he would have said "no, never" he would have come off sounding like a snobby, arrogant jerk. Secondly, soap fans helped get Josh where he is today and I'm sure he knows that. I've heard him say more than once that people to this day still recognize him as "Leo". I believe that Josh appreciates his soap fans, even the "kooky" ones more than you think he does. Thirdly, what the heck does Rebecca Budig getting a divorce have ANYTHING to do with Josh making any kind of a return to AMC??? LOL! I'm sure her split from Bob Guiney is all due to her undying love for Josh! ROFL!!! Please. Rebecca is going through a difficult time right now. I know for a fact that she still loves her husband. And Bob is not a loser. He is a genuinely nice person who does alot to help children. I don't know what happened with their marriage, that's private and I don't need to know. What I do know is that Rebecca cared alot for Josh when she worked with him on AMC and still does, but that doesn't mean she would try and jump his bones if he should dare to step foot on the AMC set! (Rebecca is NOT "Greenlee" after all!) LOL! She considered Josh to be a good friend and although he no longer keeps in touch with her, she only has good things to say about him. Rebecca admitted that she did have a bad crush on Josh back then, but she also was in a serious relationship with Spin Doctors lead singer Chris Barron. I'm sure however she "acted" at the soap events was just that, "acting", goofing around and nothing more. What girl doesn't do silly, goofy things around a guy she has a crush on? Besides, that was then. If Josh were to make a guest appearence on AMC, Rebecca would be nothing less than completely professional. I don't think it's neccessary to bad mouth her just to make a point. Lastly, I do however agree with your theory on what the writers would do to "Leo". They would definitely ruin all the great memories of Leo and Greenlee as we knew them. I'm sure they would use him only to perpetuate Greenlee's realtionship with Leo's brother, David or worse yet, use him to prop the Greenlee/Ryan realtionship. JMO. I loved Leo and Greenlee but I worry they would f**k them up as a couple since AMC has been trying to pretend they never happened, and act like not a very nice person Ryan is her true love. Heck they don't even mention Leo and Greenlee is marrying his freaking brother!
They would love to finally destroy Leo so Greenlee can be with bug eyed Ryan! Sorry Cameron my be a nice guy, but he sucks as an actor and Ryan sucks with Greenlee.
Ummm Josh also needs to stay clear of nutty Rebecca! My friend did a tour of AMC studio when she was on with Josh and she told me some funny stuff! Rebecca had a cold and literally kept interupting Josh who was giving the tout. She was whing and asking Josh to warm up tea and soup and hanging on him.lol.
She acted jealous that she did not have Josh's undivided attention.
Someone my friend knew who worked on the set said it was common knoledge they were having an affair in real life, and RB was nuts when Leo had any other interests. So unless Josh wants to end his marriage for good, he needs to not go back. Then again Rebecca would be more than willing to take the place of the strippers, and not go to the tabloids, since she cheated w/ him on his ex!
Oh yeah Josh's looney soap fans morphed into the very pathetic "dary" fans who still bug the producer of Las Vegas about them.

Good Lord, here we go again...Rebecca Budig IS NOT a threat to Josh!  People who say that she acted like this or that around him back when Josh was working with her read into it what they wanted to. I think that THEY were the jealous ones. Yes, Rebecca had a crush on Josh, (but so did many others who worked with him.) And as for her "nuttiness" around him, well they had become pretty close friends. I believe that was just Rebecca's way of goofing around with him. She does has a goofy sense of humor, but so does Josh! Anyway, the rumored "affair" between them was just that, a RUMOR, nothing more. There has never been any real evidence of that happening, just a few people who started a false rumor. (Imagine that?!) Josh did not cheat on his then-girlfriend Kristy Pierce with Rebecca. I know a few people who were close to the situation and they said nothing like that ever happened. And as for Josh returning to AMC, I don't think he really meant that. He was just trying not to seem like he thinks he's better than the soap world. I doubt he will ever actually return to play Leo again, except maybe for a one-time deal as a ghost or something. But it's absolutely RIDICULOUS to think that Josh has to worry about keeping away from Rebecca Budig because she may still be "crazy" about him. She has moved on with her life and is going through a separation and possible divorce from her husband Bob Guiney. Rebecca still loves Bob and none of this has been easy for her. She has enough on her plate right now then to wonder if Josh is considering a return to AMC or not. She is a very sweet, kind and caring person who doesn't deserve all this bad-mouthing. (For the record, I know this first-hand, not from a friend who knows a friend who knows her.) But as for "Leo" the character returning, nothing would please me more at this point, even if it was someone other that Josh playing the role. (As long as the writers don't ruin what he and Greenlee had together in order to prop Ryan!) Greenlee needs Leo more than ever and now, the timing would be just perfect. Also, a return of Leo's wicked mother Vanessa would also be most welcome! In fact, I don't think there are any 2 characters who fans are just begging to have back more than Leo and Vanessa. But who knows what the writers have in mind? (They have mentioned Leo quite a bit lately.) I guess time will tell... Not that it matters now, but well I knew a person who actually worked in the industry and became very close to a cast member on AMC who is no longer there, but was there when Josh was on the show.
She truly liked Josh and said he is a great guy, but I hate to break the fan's hearts who are part of fan clubs and believe all of the little interviews in soap mags, but Josh did have a thing with Rebecca, not for the whole time he was on the soap, but for part of it. He also umm... well cheated on Kristy other times. My friend used to go on appearances as part of the job with Josh and Cameron. They both were nice guys, but they both did more than greet their female fans, and Cameron taught Josh all he knows about being a man sleeper. THAT is reality, not the bullnuts you read in soap opera digest.
I really don't give a nuts if Josh does a whole cheerleading squad, it does't matter to me. It's between him and whomever he is dating or married too. He's a great guy in so many ways, but reality is that many good looking and not so good looking male celebs have the opportunity to do many women and they do it! Tiger is extreme, but from what my friend tells me of just being around male actors, it is rare to find one who doesn't cheat. That's the way it is, and so what? We aren't married to the actors. Who cares ?
Show business is a hard business and there are a lot of bullnuts publicists walking around putting out a nice image for their actors, but reality is, there is a lot of cheating, whoring, drugging and boozing going on. The "nice" people are few and far between.
Josh's ex was just not into the Hollywood scene. NOt saying she was all innocent and good for him, but she was not willing to put up with certain things, so she broke it off.
